First bees, and now bats.  Rather like last year’s honeybee collapse disorder, this year has seen “white-nose syndrome” which could kill upwards of 90% of bats in the northeast.  So far, it hasn’t reached Pennsylvania, but it could mean a lot of trouble for one of the Allegheny National Forest’s rarest dwellers, the Indiana bat. - Jason
